The formula Frank Studio used to re-launch this brand, now under the creative direction of Margherita Maccapani Missoni, was to delve into the history of the house of Missoni, selecting strong and recognizable elements that could be reinterpreted from vintage graphic materials to textile prints.
We took inspiration from these forgotten components and gave them a contemporary twist. The result is reflected in a warm and bold color palette formed by four distinct tones taken from the archive. The shape of the logo also came from this research as Frank discovered a version of the company’s branding from the early days adapting its eliptical shape to create this new-look logo. Turning the iconic into a statement and, at the same time, implementing a playful touch.
